Why do smile lines get deeper over time?
Smile lines, also called nasolabial folds, run from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth. They deepen as skin loses some of its firmness and as volume in the midface shifts with time. Years of expression play a part, so do sun exposure and genetics.
How Evolysse softens smile lines
Evolysse Form and Evolysse Smooth are FDA-approved hyaluronic acid fillers for moderate to severe dynamic facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds, in adults 22 and older. They're made with Cold-X technology, a cold manufacturing process designed to preserve the natural structure of hyaluronic acid so the gel moves naturally with your face.
Form is the more structured gel, used for deeper folds. Smooth is the softer gel, used for a subtle finish. We choose based on your anatomy.
Filler isn't always the first answer
Sometimes the best way to soften a smile line is to treat the area around it. If volume has shifted in the cheeks, restoring support there with a biostimulator like Sculptra can change how the fold looks without placing product in the fold itself. If the skin's surface is the main concern, skin treatments may be part of the plan. And sometimes the answer is a combination.
That's why we look at your whole face, at rest and in motion, before deciding anything. Placing filler in a line without looking at why it's there is how faces end up looking "done." We won't overfill you.

A two-week check-in. Filler settles and integrates over about two weeks. That's when we look at the result together.
