Upneeq
Open up your eyes—without surgery. Upneeq® (oxymetazoline hydrochloride ophthalmic solution) 0.1% is the first FDA-approved prescription eye drop for acquired blepharoptosis (low-lying lids) in adults, now available at MPWR Aesthetics in Greensburg, PA.
Upneeq® for Low-Lying Lids (Acquired Ptosis)
What Upneeq Does
Upneeq targets Müller’s muscle in the upper eyelid (a muscle that helps keep the lid elevated). By activating this muscle, the drop temporarily lifts the upper lid to improve eyelid height and create a more “open” look. Many patients notice improvement within minutes; peak effect often occurs around 2 hours and can last for several hours. Individual results vary.
Who It’s For
Adults with acquired droopy upper eyelids that developed over time
Those seeking a non-surgical, quick option for everyday function or special occasions
A consultation helps confirm candidacy and rule out underlying causes of ptosis that may require medical evaluation.
How to Use
Dose: Instill 1 drop once daily in one or both affected eyes. Use each single-use vial immediately after opening and then discard.
Contact lenses: Remove lenses before use; wait 15 minutes before reinserting.
Other eye meds: If using additional eye drops, separate by at least 15 minutes.
What to Expect
Onset & duration: Many people notice a lift within minutes; visible improvement often peaks around 2 hours and may last up to 8 hours.
