PULSE
Cardiometabolic Wellness
by Jerod Smith CRNP
Performance, energy, and health that starts from the inside
At MPWR, we've always believed great results come from treating the whole person, not just what shows up in the mirror. That's why we're proud to partner with Pulse Cardiometabolic Wellness, an independent practice serving Western Pennsylvania and led by Jerod C. Smith, CRNP.
Pulse is where we send patients, especially men, who want expert, medically guided care for testosterone, peptide therapy, and metabolic health. They see a provider who knows their name and stays reachable after the appointment ends.
A provider who stays with you
Too many men put off their health until something goes wrong. When they do look for help, they find high-volume clinics and online programs that prescribe once and disappear. Pulse was built to be different: personal, concierge-level care with direct access to Jerod by phone, text, or email, plus in-home visits when you need them.
That's the idea behind the name. Pulse stands for Presence, Understanding, Longevity, Support, and Expertise.
"I have spent my career caring for people when the stakes were high. Pulse brings that same attention, judgment and commitment to helping people take control before a crisis."
— Jerod C. Smith, CRNP, Founder of Pulse Cardiometabolic Wellness
What Pulse offers
Private-pay care with a focus on men's health, including:
Testosterone therapy with lab evaluation and ongoing monitoring
Peptide therapy for recovery, body composition, sleep, and healthy aging
Medical weight management with GLP-1 therapy, built around preserving muscle and real follow-up
Men's sexual wellness, with a cardiovascular and medication review first
In-home cardiovascular risk assessments, including a three-lead ECG
The Pulse Connection, a membership with year-round direct access to Jerod
Every plan starts with a real consultation and a safety review, not an automated protocol. Compounded medications are filled through a state-licensed 503A pharmacy.
Why we partner with Pulse
How you feel shows up in how you look. Low testosterone, poor recovery, and metabolic changes can show up as low energy, stubborn body fat, slower healing, and losing your edge. Treatments work better and results last longer when your health underneath is in a good place.
MPWR focuses on how you look and feel from the outside in. Pulse focuses on the inside out. Together, you get a care team that sees the full picture and plans that support each other.

It's a practice built on relationships, not volume, which is exactly why it's a natural fit for us.
