How Often Should You Get Touch-Ups?

At MPWR Aesthetics, we believe that aesthetic treatments should be strategic, personalized, and—most importantly—sustainable. One of the most common questions we hear is:

“How often do I need to come back for touch-ups and certain services?”

The answer depends on the treatment, your skin goals, and how your body naturally responds. But don’t worry—we’ve broken it all down for you in this helpful timeline guide, so you always know what to expect and when to book your next appointment.

Botox & Dysport (Neuromodulators)

Touch-Up Frequency: Every 3–4 months

Botox and Dysport work by temporarily relaxing targeted muscles to smooth fine lines and wrinkles—especially in the forehead, crow’s feet, and frown lines.

What to Expect:

  • Results typically kick in within 3–7 days

  • Peak at around 2 weeks

  • Gradually wear off over 3–4 months

Pro tip: Don’t wait for full movement to return—rebook proactively to maintain smooth, consistent results. We pre-book your next quarterly treatment as a reminder and so that you can get your preferred day and time.

Dermal Fillers

Touch-Up Frequency: Every 6–18 months, depending on the area and type of filler.

Fillers restore lost volume, contour facial features, and soften deeper wrinkles. Areas like lips and cheeks may metabolize filler differently.

General Timeline:

  • Lips: 6–9 months

  • Cheeks/Chin/Jawline: 12–18 months

  • Under-Eyes (Tear Troughs): 12+ months (often lasts longer)

We’ll reassess during follow-up visits to determine the best time for a top-off—no guesswork needed.

Microneedling

Frequency:

  • Initial series: 3–6 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart

  • Maintenance: Every 3–6 months

Microneedling stimulates collagen to improve texture, tone, acne scars, and fine lines. Results build gradually, which is why consistency matters. FACT: Each microneedling treatment stimulates a years worth of collagen that you lost!

For even better results, we may pair your treatment with PRF or recommend medical-grade skincare to enhance and extend your glow.

Chemical Peels

Frequency: Depends on the peel depth

  • Mild peels: Every 4–6 weeks

  • Medium peels: Every 3–6 months

  • Deep peels: 1–2 times per year (if needed)

Chemical peels accelerate skin cell turnover to brighten dull skin, even tone, and clear breakouts. We’ll recommend the best peel based on your skin type and goals.

Many clients love a seasonal peel—think of it as a skin “reset” at the start of each season.

Medical-Grade Skincare

Frequency: Reviewed every 3 months

While not an “in-office” treatment, your home skincare routine plays a huge role in maintaining results between appointments. We recommend reassessing your skincare regimen at least every season to adjust for:

  • Skin changes

  • Weather shifts

  • Treatment progress

Products like retinols, antioxidants, and growth factors are powerful allies in your long-term glow.
